some photos and Top Several Things about #PragueFringe15

H E L L O ! ! !

I won’t even apologise for not sticking to the schedule, because there’s clearly not no point in doing so (just telling you this in case you didn’t notice). Even though I’m sorry for planning a schedule and not sticking to it.

BUT:

I kinda have a more-or-less understandable excuse, for yours truly is partaking in an international theatre festival and thinks it is really awesome.

There’s going to be a few big fat posts about the whole event in the nearest future, but right now all you can enjoy is a small Top Several Things thingy and photos. Continue reading

Week 3: To prove to you that my phone has a camera

I’m into pretending to take good photos now, yup.

As I already informed you, I got a phone with a really good camera for New Year. And I did tell you to mentally prepare yourselves for photos, so here they are.

Now I’ve become a bit more pretentious and pseudo-artistic than a mortal is allowed to be. But you can’t have too much of a good thing, though, eh? Continue reading

Week 2 & Week 4 combined: Gymnázium nad Alejí, Prague

This whole spring is just bursting with examinations. I have finished (and, more importantly, passed) my Czech B1 exams on April, 1, I’m writing Czech B2 exams in May, and right now I’ve got admission exams, which are, well, basically the most important exams in the last few years of my life. Depending on the results, I will either get into a really cool and awesome Prague-based school with a high level of English and study there for totally free and be among Czechs and will finally get out of the environment I hate so much, or make my family spend large sums of money on me – again – and get into a private school for Russian students whose parents don’t have enough money or intelligence to provide their child with a better education (Czech Republic is rather far from being the best-educated country, let’s be fair), and feeling guilty for my family wasting everything they’ve got on me and giving me much more moral and financial support than I deserve. some photos of snowy Liberec

Ahoj (every time this rather popular exclamation is mentioned, the image of a 30s pin-up lady saying ‘Hello, sailor!’ uncontrollably occurs in my head)

There’s snow in Liberec! Can you believe it? I certainly can’t. On one of our first conversation lessons, Linda told us that last year there was only one teeny-weeny snowfall, and I have honestly believed these people here aren’t sure what snow looks like since. In the middle of December, there were a few times when the mixture of snowflakes and raindrops fell down from the sky, an I thought that was it. How surprised I was to return here on the 11th of January  and find out some snow piles! (even though they weren’t really much to look at) Continue reading
